Dear Mr. Malone,
My name is Dakota Amrhein. I have trained in martial arts since I was seven years old and have practically grown up in the dojo. I am passionate about teaching self-defense that works. Nothing excites me more than helping students on their journeys to becoming the best-version-of-themselves and watching their confidence grow. I want to change people’s lives, each in their own ways, just as how my senseis did for me. I want to provide a positive role model for young people. I love the positive work environment with people I like and values that align with my own.
I have been put in charge of leading groups of kids at aikido class for as far back as I can remember. I learned to teach and lead by example and foster good core values in my classmates and the students under me. I was able to develop strong leadership skills there, and even more so as a tour guide and camp counselor at Star HB Farms. In my role at Star HB Farms, I was required to talk to customers every day, handle angry customers and address their complaints or concerns, which will translate to talking to challenging customers who come into the dojo. My passion for the art gives me the ability to inspire my students to work hard to be the best.
- I won 2020 Grand Champion of Triad and was the lowest rank to ever win that award
- Black Belt in Yoseikan-Budo Aikido
- Green Belt in Triad Karate
- Praised as one of the top five most devoted, disciplined, and committed students at Triad
- Fought and placed in 7 NAGA tournaments across the United States in 2021
- CPR and Pediatric First Aid Certified with Red Cross
I love Triad because it is legit. All of the instructors are constantly improving their skills and getting better with their students, building a family, and finding more effective ways to do things. I think that Triad is the best martial arts school in the southeastern United States and I hope to help Triad step up our game even more by taking the strengths I’ve learned from my other dojos and bringing them here. Since I am a cross-trainer and I train at as many different places as I can, I have a lot of new things to bring to the table.
Thank you for your time. I would love the opportunity to speak with you further about my passion for this position and what skills I would bring to the job. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Dakota Amrhein
